With this letter, the Massachusetts Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program of Massachusetts Fish and Wildlife notified the Pittsfield Conservation Commission of the existence of a certified vernal pool on the property of Berkshire Community College. NHESP asked the city to report on whether the pool was in a resource area. It was in fact in a resource area.
