Evening Paddle on the Housatonic River
The evening is a great time to look for wildlife. Explore the rich wetlands of the Housatonic Valley Wildlife Management Area at a leisurely pace in the hours before dusk. After paddling a short distance, the group will find a cove to pause and enjoy listening and watching for wildlife. Kingfishers, herons, muskrats, beavers, and other wildlife are all possible sightings.
This will be a leisurely canoe on a section of the Housatonic River classified as flatwater, with frequent stops along the way.
Pre-registration is required.
Adult Program $55 members, $70 nonmembers
