Ned Ames Honorary Lecture & Reception

Join Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies for a Ned Ames Honorary Lecture featuring Cary freshwater ecologist David Strayer, who will be discussing his latest book, Beyond the Sea: The Hidden Life in Lakes, Streams, and Wetlands. Strayer will take guests on a journey to Earth’s inland waters, showcasing the remarkable species they contain, and the conservation challenges of protecting them.

Before the lecture, registrants are invited to attend a reception and book signing from 6pm-6:40pm. Light refreshments will be served, and Merritt Bookstore will be offering copies of Beyond the Sea for purchase. Mix, mingle, and get your book signed by Dave Strayer.

Free and open to all. Registration is required. There are two signups, one for seating in the Lovejoy Auditorium, and another to access the virtual live stream.
