Free Tree Identification Walk at Pelham Lake Park
Join BEAT for this free tree identification walk at Rowe’s Pelham Lake Park on Saturday, May 10, at 10:00 AM. This informative and engaging event will last approximately an hour and a half and involve slow-paced stops. Participants will be outdoors for the duration of the walk, so appropriate attire for the weather is recommended.
On this guided walk, participants will learn key characteristics of trees commonly encountered in Western Massachusetts. Led by a Berkshire naturalist and tree enthusiast, the walk will include tips and tricks for recognizing tree species throughout the year, regardless of whether leaves are present.
This event, organized in collaboration with the Rowe Parks Commission, is free and open to the public. However, space is limited, so those interested in attending are encouraged to reserve their spot by emailing chelsey@thebeatnews.org as soon as possible.
