Climate Action Now presents: Food Sovereignty Speakers Series

Soul Fire Farm is an Afro-Indigenous centered community farm committed to uprooting racism and seeding sovereignty in the food system. In this inspiring video, Leah Penniman lays out the history of our racist land laws and the intersections with current policies, inequities in our food system, human health and our climate emergency.

We will unpack the wise words shared by Leah Penniman and challenge ourselves to discover next steps we can take to embody what she asks through facilitated break-out groups. And we will have the opportunity to take action in the form of contributions to local groups doing this work.
