Shared Estates, the proponents of high-end “campground” plans at Greylock Glen, have announced an additional public meeting to discuss the project.

A growing number of people from Berkshire County and beyond are concerned about the impacts of this new proposal:

• impacts of overdevelopment of this DCR-owned natural resource
• impacts to well established trails that would now be intersected by this development
• impacts to wildlife of having mirrored surfaces in a natural area
• impacts of full utilities running to the site including town water & sewer and gas lines
• economic impacts to the Environmental Justice community in which the Glen is located – given the reduction in number of affordable camping sites and overdevelopment of high-end rental properties
