Kat Hand, co-founder. Kat Hand of the Berkshire Cider Project reflects on the first four years of building this small business in the Berkshires, what she has learned about working with local farms and farmers, and how she sees sustainability as an increasingly critical part of the cidery’s growth.

Hand has a background that spans the non-profit and private sector, with roles in corporate sustainability, marketing and investor relations. She will discuss how these experiences have helped to shape many key decisions in the growth of Berkshire Cider Project, and how she believes small businesses can be powerful forces for good in the world.

Hand lives in Williamstown with her husband (co-founder, head cidermaker and swiss army knife at Berkshire Cider Project).
