How Do Deer Populations Impact Our Forests?

June 22, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Forest regrowth requires an abundance of healthy saplings from desirable, native trees to replace the older generations of trees. This regeneration is often stunted by the overabundance of white-tailed deer who browse on these trees often so much that it can cause shifts in forest composition. Join Vermont Coverts at this online workshop to learn from quantitative ecologist Kate Miller about the research she has conducted on regeneration debt caused by deer browse.
