September 3, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Saturday, September 3
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Mass Audubon’s Canoe Meadows Sanctuary

Join BEAT for a tree identification walk where we will focus on individual tree species and go over some of the attributes that help to identify them.

This walk will be between 1–2 miles and last approximately 2 hours. The trails are flat and make for an easy, gentle walk.

From Rt 7/20 in Pittsfield, at the Family Footwear store, take Holmes Road to Canoe Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary at 309 Holmes Road, on the right side of the road.

To register, email chelsey@thebeatnews.org.

This walk is part of the annual Housatonic Heritage Walks, which are FREE, guided interpretive walks to the most interesting, historical, cultural, industrial, natural, and scenic sites in Berkshire County, MA, & Litchfield County, CT. All ages & all people are invited to explore with knowledgeable & local historians, naturalists, and environmentalists at sites within the Housatonic River Valley.
