Saturday, June 18, from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Join Berkshire Natural Resources Council (BNRC) in hiking the full length of The High Road on Yokun Ridge. The hike will begin at Bousquet Mountain with the first climb to BNRC’s Mahanna Cobble (1.6 miles). From Mahanna Cobble, you’ll continue south to views at Yokun Seat, and then Lenox Summit.  From Lenox Mountain, you will continue south through the Lenox Watershed to Reservoir Road. The next leg of the route will travel from the watershed into BNRC’s Yokun Ridge South Reserve, featuring old settlement foundations and Monk’s Pond.  You will walk toward BNRC’s Brothers Trail to connect to Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, through the Center’s orchards, with an option to visit the remains of the former Shadowbrook estate.

Enjoy three major vistas on the route, experience two and a half miles of new trail, visit Monk’s Pond, and Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health.

The High Road, which is a long-term initiative to make connections from towns to trails and along clusters of conservation land, allowing hikers to explore the scenic Berkshires.
