Careers and Opportunities With NOAA

June 28, 2022 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Tuesday, June 28, from 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM

Are you interested in becoming an environmental lawyer for the American public? The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has a mission to understand and predict changes in climate, weather, oceans and coasts, to share that knowledge with others, and to conserve and manage coastal and marine ecosystems and resources. This event will kick off with an introduction to the work of NOAA’s Office of General Counsel, followed by a panel discussion where attorneys will share what it is like to work at NOAA, as well as offer advice on how to pursue a federal legal job.

These panelists represent a broad cross-section of federal legal careers, including attorneys of diverse backgrounds. The Office of General Counsel provides legal advice to NOAA on a wide range of legal issues spanning the breadth of the agency’s mission: protecting and managing marine resources, conserving and managing ocean and coastal areas and marine sanctuaries, predicting and communicating weather forecasts, and planning and managing Earth-observing satellite systems (plus more!).

This webinar welcomes all, with a special emphasis towards students interested in working for NOAA’s Office of General Counsel and attorneys interested in a lateral move. Join our panelists to learn about NOAA’s Office of General Counsel and to explore careers and potential opportunities at the agency.
