A rare butterfly in our area, the Giant Swallowtail, has been spotted flying around Bartholomew\u2019s Cobble.\u00a0\u00a0 It is currently being sighted regularly at the Trustees of Reservations property in Sheffield.\u00a0\u00a0 Since Rene Wendell, Cobble ranger and Berkshire Environmental Action Team board member,\u00a0 reported the butterfly, entomologists and nature observers from as far away as Cape Cod have been making the trip to the Berkshires just to see this rare-for-Massachusetts insect.\u00a0 If you\u2019d like to see it, visit Bartholomew\u2019s Cobble in Sheffield, Massachusetts.\u00a0 In addition to seeing the Giant Swallowtail, you can canoe, hike, or just relax and enjoy the amazing Berkshire vistas.
