The EPA has announced that it will be holding mini workshops in response to public requests for more information related to the cleanup of PCBs from the Housatonic River. The three mini workshops and one day-long \"\"<\/a>charrette will also provide the public with an opportunity to provide input into the decision-making process. The workshops will be held at Shakespeare & Company<\/a> at 70 Kemble Street, Lenox.<\/p>\n

Mini Workshop 1: Tuesday, April 5 5:30-8:30pm
\nWhy working with River Processes Matters: Housatonic History, Ecology, and PCBs<\/p>\n

Mini Workshop 2: Wednesday, April 6 5:30-8:30pm
\nGetting the Facts on PCBs: Human Health Risks, Ecological Risks, and PCBs in the Housatonic River<\/p>\n

Mini Workshop 3: Thursday, April 7 5:30-8:30pm
\nExploring Alternatives for Cleanup: Remediation, Restoration, Alternatives, and Environmentally Sensitive Remediation Concepts<\/p>\n

Public Charrette – The Community Contributes: Saturday, May 7 8:30am-5:30pm
\nA Practical, Hands-On Workshop for the Community to Better Understand the “Rest of River” Issues, to Explore the Pros and Cons of the Proposed Alternatives, and for the EPA to Hear the Community’s Ideas<\/p>\n
