You can name BEAT as a beneficiary in your Will, your Retirement Plans such as your IRA or 401(k), your life insurance policy, or even your bank and brokerage accounts. <\/span><\/p>\n

Would you like to continue protecting the environment for wildlife – even after your lifetime? A charitable bequest is one of the easiest and most flexible ways to leave a legacy of hope for future generations.

You don’t have to be rich to leave a lasting impact!
\nIf a large gift is beyond your means,
\nyou can leave a small percent of the residual of your estate –
\nthat means after all taxes and expenses have been paid,
\na percent or dollar amount may be left to BEAT.<\/em><\/p>\n

\n

Bequest in your Will or Revocable Trust:<\/h3>\n

If you are interested in leaving a lasting legacy by remembering BEAT in your will or revocable trust, here is some language you may use:<\/p>\n

I bequeath to the Berkshire Environmental Action Team, Inc., a charitable organization (EIN #27-0054356) whose headquarters are located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, for the general purposes of said organization, (the sum of $_______); (____ percent of my gross estate, as determined for federal estate-tax purposes); (the following property:___________); or (the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate).*<\/p>\n

*These are merely suggestions as to content and should be written or adapted by legal counsel to fit the contributor’s individual situation.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

401K, IRA, Pension, Insurance, or other Retirement Plan:<\/h3>\n

Another easy bequest option is to name BEAT as a beneficiary or contingent beneficiary of your 401K, IRA, pension, insurance, or other retirement plan using the beneficiary form that the plan administrator provides you and keeps on record. This is an especially easy option. There are no legal fees, just name BEAT as a beneficiary on the designation form. You can change you mind at any time.

Named Endowment:<\/h3>\n

For gifts over $25,000, you can set up a named endowment to continue to protect the environment for wildlife forever. A named endowment endures forever as the endowment (principal) is never spent out, only the interest earned is made available to your chosen charity.
