At the invitation of Housatonic River Initiative, representatives from two companies presented their technologies for cleaning PCBs from the Housatonic River. One company, Genesis Solutions, has developed a system for precision dredging that also quickly dewaters sediment. The second company, Biotech Restorations, has developed a technology for breaking down PCBs. The meeting in Lenox lasted about 2 hours. It was videotaped by BEAT and will be shown on Pittsfield Community Televsion (PCTV) and Community Television For The Southern Berkshires (CTSB).
