Every spring\, American Woodcocks or “timberdoodles” turn the meadows of the Berkshires into a runway for their magnificent aerial dance. Learn about the lives of woodcocks with a short\, family-friendly presentation from a Mass Audubon naturalist\, then look and listen for them on the Glen Meadow Loop. Even if we don’t see any timberdoodles at Greylock Glen\, you’ll learn where and when to look for them during your next outing. \nThis program is all outdoors and includes a 0.2-mile walk to the area of highest woodcock activity. The trail surface is wide\, gravel-paved\, and has some small hills. Be sure to dress to be comfortable outside in the weather of the evening.
