SPEAKER SERIES: Ecological Solutions to Climate Change with Author & Entomologist Dr. Doug Tallamy

February 24, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Thursday, February 24 @ 6:30 — 8:00 p.m.

Global declines in the population of insects and birds in North America suggest that traditional landscape designs don’t do a good job sustaining the plants and animals that sustain us.

In the first of our Ecological Solutions for Climate Change Speaker Series, join Dr. Doug Tallamy to learn about an approach to conservation that starts in your own yard. He is a professor in the Department of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology at the University of Delaware. The author of several books, including “Nature’s Best Hope,” and dozens of research articles, he eloquently makes the connection between insects, plants, and animals—including humans—and makes the case for our role in keeping these connections intact.

Dr. Tallamy will give a 60-minute online presentation followed by a 30-minute Q&A. Bring your curiosity and questions!
